Ex-NUH staff fined for unauthorised access of patient record

A former National University Hospital employee, Pubaneswary Poobalan, has been charged for illegally accessing sensitive patient information and recording herself doing so. Although she had access rights for managing appointments, she misused her access. She pled guilty, was fined SG$3,800, and the hospital emphasized its commitment to patient confidentiality and improving cybersecurity measures.
