Endocrine Society applauds Ohio Governor DeWine’s veto of anti-transgender healthcare bill

The Endocrine Society, a major medical group, praises Ohio Governor Mike Dewine’s veto of a bill which would have banned gender-affirming care for minors. More than 2,000 studies on gender-affirming care have substantiated its benefits since 1975. Other organizations such as the American Medical Association support this stance. Puberty-delaying treatment can help reduce suicidal ideation in transgender people, emphasising the need for these medical decisions to be made by patients and their healthcare providers instead of politicians.
