Emory Healthcare scores with an ‘Uber app’ for at-home PT

Emory Healthcare is expanding its outpatient care offerings by providing at-home physical therapy. This move is in response to the pandemic accelerating the need for off-site healthcare services and aims to reduce “referral leakage,” where patients seek care from other providers due to convenience. By partnering with Luna, Emory offers in-home physical therapy services to patients who live at a distance or may be uncomfortable traveling to a clinic. The initiative has seen excellent patient satisfaction scores and low service complaints.
