Emory Healthcare and DrFirst partner on medication adherence

Emory Healthcare is collaborating with technology firm DrFirst, using its Fuzion platform to improve medication management. Fuzion provides real-time prescription drug benefit and pricing data and can complete prior authorizations electronically and respond to claim rejections. Emory hopes the system will help to reduce adverse drug events, better inform patients of costs, streamline clinical workflows, and improve medication adherence rates. The company will also introduce HIPAA-compliant automated patient messaging and electronic prescription alerts.
