Elon Musk threatens to sue FAA after feds propose fining SpaceX $633,000

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a fine of over $633,000 against SpaceX, accusing the company of violating its launch license requirements twice last year. The alleged violations include using an unauthorized launch control center and fuel farm. In response, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk promised to sue the FAA for regulatory overreach. This proposed fine is the largest civil penalty ever suggested by the FAA’s commercial spaceflight division.
