Elevance Health announced a program offering free smartphones with unlimited data, talk, and text for some Medicaid members, in partnership with Samsung, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. The program is designed to facilitate access to virtual healthcare tools for underserved populations and is funded by the Federal Communication Commission’s Affordable Connectivity Program. The initiative will be available in multiple states in 2024.
