The FBI has issued a warning about a new trend in ransomware attacks where more than one strain is deployed within a 48-hour timeframe. Variants used include AvosLocker, Diamond, Hive, Karakurt, LockBit, Quantum and Royal. The bureau also reported that from 2022, many gangs started adding new code to their customised data theft tools, wipers and malware to evade detection.
