The Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority was attacked by malware, allegedly implemented by the Lynx ransomware group. The attack occurred on 26 November 2024 but was first reported by the group on 14 January 2025. The Authority stated minimal customer impact and has since restored the server and network, adding extra security measures, and investigations are ongoing.
