A sophisticated malware targeting Docker containers has been discovered which autonomously turns containers into crypto-mining nodes, while scanning for new victims. The malware uses a propagation module and a Dero cryptocurrency mining module. It targets exposed Docker APIs on port 2375, creating and infecting more containers. Each compromised containers becomes a miner as part of a network. The malware poses a challenge due to its ability to operate without a centralized control infrastructure.
