DHS Will Use AI to Investigate Sex Traffickers, Drug Dealers

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is planning to utilise AI and machine learning to enhance operations, combat child sex trafficking and drug smuggling, and improve immigration services and disaster management. DHS has stated its approach to AI will be rigorously tested to avoid bias. The move comes after President Biden’s AI executive order, which called on federal agencies to utilise AI responsibly.
