DHS unveils one common platform for reporting cyber incidents

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released a report detailing how the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) may implement upcoming cyber incident reporting regulations. The Cyber Incident Reporting Council (CIRC) recommends creating a common platform for reporting and sharing cyber incident information to avoid duplication, introducing clear definitions across all reporting regimes. The report also suggests creating model timelines for reporting incidents and exemptions in certain situations. The report seeks to guide legislative changes to ensure the smooth implementation of these recommendations.
