Developer Pleads Guilty For Sabotaging Company’s Computer Systems

A federal jury convicted Davis Lu, a former software developer at Eaton Corp, of intentionally disabling the company’s computer systems using malicious code. The code triggered upon his termination, disrupting operations and causing financial losses. Lu, who saw his responsibilities reduced during a 2018 corporate restructuring, now faces up to 10 years in prison. The case underscores the rising risks of insider cyber threats.
