Design Flaw in Domain-Wide Delegation Could Leave Google Workspace Vulnerable

Hunters’ Team Axon has discovered a serious design flaw in Google Workspace’s domain-wide delegation feature that could allow cyber attackers to gain unauthorized access and escalate privileges. This flaw, dubbed “DeleFriend,” could enable theft of emails from Gmail, data from Google Drive, and other illegal activities. The firm reported the flaw responsibly to Google and is working with them to identify potential mitigation strategies.
