Delta Dental of California informed roughly 7 million people about a data breach from a May 2023 hack of Progress Software’s MOVEit Transfer software. The breach revealed protected health information of Delta Dental members. Despite the breach being discovered in late May, Delta Dental only recently concluded its investigation. The MOVEit security vulnerability has affected thousands of organizations globally.
