London, 13 August 2026 — Decent Cybersecurity today announced a significant expansion of its United Kingdom operational capabilities, strengthening the company’s position in radio-frequency (RF) sensing, spectrum monitoring, and uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) research and development.
UK UAS Operator Registration
Decent Cybersecurity Ltd is now a registered UK UAS Operator with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), registering the company to operate drones in the United Kingdom. The registration establishes the formal regulatory foundation for the company’s airborne RF sensor development programme.
Certified Remote Pilot Capability
The company has established certified remote pilot capability, with CAA Flyer ID and A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) credentials in place. The A2 CofC certifies competency in UAS airspace regulations, flight safety, meteorology, and operational risk management, permitting operations closer to people than standard open-category rules allow. The company has additionally initiated the pathway towards a CAA Operational Authorisation, the professional-grade approval used for advanced commercial UAS operations.
Spectrum Access for RF Sensor Trials
The company has submitted an application to Ofcom, the UK communications regulator, for an Innovation and Trial licence supporting field characterisation of its passive RF direction-finding sensors. The trials programme, building on Decent Cybersecurity’s PNTMAP RF interference monitoring technology, will measure bearing accuracy, detection range, and geolocation performance of ground-based and UAS-mounted sensors at a professional UK test range.
Supporting UK Defence Innovation
These capabilities underpin Decent Cybersecurity’s growing engagement with the UK defence innovation ecosystem. The company’s passive RF detection and direction-finding technology addresses one of the most pressing operational lessons of modern conflict: the need to detect, locate, and act on hostile electromagnetic emissions in contested environments.
