DCRat Malware Via YouTube Attacking Users To Steal Login Credentials

Since 2025, cybercriminals have been using the Dark Crystal RAT (DCRat) backdoor in a new wave of cyberattacks on gamers through YouTube distribution channels. The hackers create or take over YouTube accounts to upload videos advertising gaming cheats and bots, which are embedded with the DCRat Trojan. These attacks predominantly targeted Russian users, with a smaller number affecting users in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and China.
