This fall aligns with drops in high-volume malware distributors’ operations. However, cyber criminals now resort more to stealing sensitive data, with infostealer malware incidents increasing 84% weekly in 2024 and 180% into early 2025. The study also urged businesses to focus on proactive security measures such as real-time threat hunting and modernizing authentication management.
