However, a smaller percentage of these organizations were affected (60% in 2023, down from 66% in 2022). Only 24% disrupted an attack before data was encrypted, and for 37% of attacks, data was stolen. Respondents who paid ransoms fell from 62% to 42% as their recovery strategies changed.
