Data breach impacts home care patients

Nearly 300,000 home care patients at the Allegheny Health Network may have had their information stolen, after an IT vendor was hacked in November. The network is offering ID protection services, including credit monitoring, free of charge to those affected. Experts emphasise the importance of personal login safety and advise putting a temporary freeze on credit accounts if a breach is suspected.
