A steganography scam has left a man from Jabalpur, India, 2 lakh rupees poorer after he downloaded an image sent to his WhatsApp. The scammers send an image, often following up with a call asking the victim to identify the image subject. Once the image is downloaded, the phone crashes and the scammers gain access to it.
