Guam has been targeted by state-sponsored cyberattacks, prompting the introduction of Bill 190-37, which proposes a “Marianas Cyber Security Working Group”. The group consisting of representatives from the government, key autonomous agencies, telecom companies, and the business community will meet monthly to receive briefings on best cybersecurity practices. The bill, sponsored by Vice Speaker Tina Muña Barnes and six senators, was introduced amid ongoing cybersecurity concerns between the US and China.
