A new report by HIMSS Analytics and Symantec IT Security and Risk Management has found that despite signs of improvement, there are still dangerous cybersecurity gaps in healthcare. The study recommends moving cybersecurity from IT to the boardroom, and reveals that healthcare providers are not investing sufficiently in cybersecurity. Confidence in fending off cyberattacks is also low, with limited resources and staffing shortages cited as major barriers. The report highlights the need to approach cybersecurity from a business risk perspective.
