Cybersecurity frameworks in APAC don’t support remote care: report

Existing cybersecurity frameworks for healthcare in the Asia-Pacific region are not adequately tailored to remote care management, highlighting the potential for data breaches and a lack of harmonisation across jurisdictions, according to a report by the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association and L.E.K. Consulting. It also called for a more personalised approach to risk assessment for each medical device, encouraging local adaptation of globally accepted standards.
