Cybercriminals craving financial ‘facelift’ targets plastic surgery offices and patients.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has warned that hackers are increasingly attacking plastic surgeons’ offices to steal personal patient data, which they then enhance using social engineering techniques to extort victims for cryptocurrency. The FBI has issued guidelines for mitigating such cyberattacks, including the use of two-factor authentication, complex passwords, and frequent monitoring of financial activity.
