Cybercriminals Are Using Fake AI Software to Distribute Malware

Cybercriminals are exploiting the popularity of AI to spread malware by creating fake adverts for AI tools on social media. These deceptive advertisements lead users to download fake software which, instead of providing legitimate AI solutions, infects their devices with malware strains like Noodlophile Stealer, CyberLock, Lucky_Gh0$t, and Numero. To avoid falling for these scams, users are advised to download only from trusted sources, inspect URLs and file extensions, be skeptical of too-good-to-be-true deals, avoid downloading from social media ads, and keep up-to-date with cybersecurity news.
