Cyberattacks to spike in 2025; healthcare and finance sectors at risk: Report | India News

According to a report by the Data Security Council of India and Seqrite, cyberattacks powered by artificial intelligence (AI) could pose serious risks to the finance and healthcare sectors of India in 2025. Deepfake technologies would also contribute to the threat by enabling convincing social engineering attacks. The increasingly accessible AI tools would facilitate widespread ransomware assaults. The document advises the modification of cybersecurity strategies to combat these new threats and encourages the use of AI for threat detection and response.
