The Australian government has awarded a contract to nonprofit CI-ISAC to launch a Health Cyber Sharing Network. Using government funding, the network will offer medical organizations a confidential environment to share cyber threat data and will provide education and training to mitigate threats. Elsewhere, Richard Taggart has been appointed as the new CIO of NSW Health, while Auckland’s public hospitals in New Zealand were temporarily shut down due to a software malfunction.
