India has set up its first Centre for Cyber Operations and Security (CenCOPS) in Chandigarh. Equipped with facial recognition, data analytics, predictive policing tools, etc., the cybersecurity centre is set to be managed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation before being handed to Chandigarh Police. Along with tackling hackers, the centre will also analyse hardware used by cybercriminals, and handle data scrutiny for cyber crimes.
