In October, key tech investments included Microsoft spending $3.2bn in Australia for AI and cloud computing, while Censys secured $75m to further threat hunting and Exposure Management. Prove Identity raised $40m and fraud prevention firm Fingerprint raised $33m. There was also a higher number of tech acquisitions, the largest being Emerson’s $8.2bn purchase of software provider NI. Trustwave was sold for $205m and Versent for $267.5m, while security firm MNEMO Mexico and AI firm Nod.ai were acquired.
