Meanwhile, a cybercrime forum, BreachForums, remained active even after its administrator, known as “Pompompurin,” was arrested. The forum has previously facilitated data breaches, including the sale of information stolen from the FBI’s InfraGuard program. Florida-based business associate Independent Living Systems announced a data breach affecting over four million individuals. The breach exposed a range of sensitive information, including social security numbers and medical records.
