Due to the healthcare industry’s complex nature, securing systems from threats is increasingly challenging. Cyber insurers are responding by continuously updating their models and identifying effective controls through past breaches. One strategy being emphasised is help desk verification and strong authentication. However, as threat incidents evolve, stricter requirements are expected, potentially even leading to third-party audits before insuring a policy. The healthcare sector must better fortify their defences to mitigate rising cyber insurance premiums.
