Community Health Center, based in Middletown, Connecticut, discovered a data breach in January that may have exposed the medical records and social security numbers of over one million patients. Although it is believed no information has been misused, patients are being offered free identity protection through IDX. The breach originated with a vendor and involved a “skilled criminal hacker”.
