Cyber breach costs approach $10M, but are heightened and reduced by AI 

The cost of cybersecurity attacks has risen 10% year-on-year, the highest annual jump since the pandemic, according to an IBM Security report. Nevertheless, the use of AI and automation in cybersecurity has helped decrease the cost of breaches; organizations using extensive AI experienced $2.2 million less in breach costs on average. However, 70% of organizations experienced significant disruptions due to breaches, pushing them to increase security budgets. Increasing breach costs are often passed onto customers, suggesting security is now part of the cost of doing business.
