Cyber attacks on London’s hospitals continue to disrupt services

London doctors’ surgeries are struggling with the impact of a cyberattack that knocked out pathology services. The June 3 hack led to hundreds of cancelled operations and appointments. Synnovis, which manages labs for NHS trusts and GPs in south-east London, was targeted. Blood test processing is seriously impacted, with clinics managing a fraction of their previous capacity. The British Medical Association has defended doctors who continued striking despite reduced service, saying their dispute is over pay and unrelated to the cyber attack.
