Most common cyber breaches were hacking, supply chain attacks, “phishing”, and “ransomware”. Cyberattacks on healthcare threaten patient safety and have led to significant disruptions and costs. Accessible technology on the dark web has made cybercrime easier, while outdated healthcare IT systems are vulnerable. Governments are introducing strategies to strengthen cybersecurity in healthcare, but the sector remains a prime target for criminals.
