Security researchers from Scam Sniffer have found a new “crypto drainer” malware series which has stolen $59m from victims. The malware, called MS Drainer, tricks users into approving a transaction that drains their cryptocurrency wallets. Victims are lured to phishing pages via Google and X ads linked to keywords from the DeFi world. The malicious ads have been around since March and use several tricks to bypass ad audits.
