Crooks are reviving the Grandoreiro banking trojan

The Grandoreiro Banking Trojan, active since 2016 and previously limited to Brazil, has expanded its reach to Latin America and Europe. The latest phishing tactics used by the malicious software includes VPS hosting and obfuscation to avoid detection. Users in Mexico, Argentina, and Spain have been targeted with phishing emails impersonating tax agencies containing malicious links. These hidden links trigger a JavaScript function leading to the theft of credentials.
