Critical Flaw in Microchip ASF Exposes IoT Devices to Remote Code Execution Risk

A critical flaw in the Microchip Advanced Software Framework could permit remote code execution if exploited, with a score of 9.5 out of 10 for severity. With no fixes or mitigations currently in place, it poses a serious threat to many IoT-centric devices. A zero-click vulnerability in MediaTek Wi-Fi chipsets which also enables remote code execution, though now patched, may still be at risk due to the public availability of a PoC exploit.
