Large language models (LLMs) are being used to generate sophisticated variants of malicious JavaScript, bypassing detection systems, says a Palo Alto Networks report. Despite struggling to create malware from scratch, LLMs can transform existing code into difficult-to-detect variants. The process can reportedly generate up to 10,000 unique JavaScript variants without altering the malware’s functionality. This leads to a significant drop in the accuracy of malware classifiers.
