Kaspersky has revealed that counterfeit Android smartphones preloaded with cryptocurrency and personal information-stealing malware are being sold online. The devices are infected with a variant of the Triada Trojan and offer hackers extensive control. The criminals have already reportedly transferred about $270,000 worth of cryptocurrencies into their wallets. To avoid scams, Kaspersky suggests purchasing smartphones from reputable distributors and installing security software immediately.
