Could hackers use a new attack to take down the European power grid?

Researchers have raised concerns that Radio Ripple Control (RRC) technology used in European power grids could be exploited to cause major disruption. They claim an attacker could send unauthorised RRC commands to connected electrical systems, potentially causing an imbalance of 60 GW, enough to power all of Germany. They warned that such a sudden change could destabilise the grid to the point of total collapse.
