Cornell, UCSF, others working to help Android users share EHR data

A collaborative group of institutions, including Cornell Tech and UC San Francisco, is set to launch CommonHealth, an open-source and non-profit app that aims to make it easier for Android users to access and share their electronic health record data, similar to how iPhone users can with Apple Health. The app will use interoperability standards to ensure privacy and security protections. The launch is scheduled for 2020.
