Connected health tools help seniors, but a digital divide persists

A JAMA Network Open study found that 81% of U.S. adults aged 50 to 80 use digital health technologies, with significant disparities based on race, income, and geography. While usage is growing, particularly in patient portals, only 11% of Black and 12% of Hispanic respondents engage with DHTs compared to 70% of white respondents, highlighting persistent inequities in healthcare access.
