The Ministry of Health (MOH) in Singapore announced that confidential information on over 14,000 individuals diagnosed with HIV has been illegally disclosed online. This follows a previous cyberattack on the healthcare system in 2018, where 1.5 million patient records were accessed. The breach occurred due to mishandling of information by an authorized staff member and additional safeguards have been implemented since then. The MOH is working to disable access to the leaked information and has taken legal action against the individuals responsible.
