Common Cyber Claims Insured Outside Of Cyber Policies

Cyber risk encompasses a range of computer and digital-related claims, with some insurable both on and off cyber policies. Companies can be insured for website accessibility lawsuits and privacy breaches involving employee data, but these are often better covered under Employment Practices Liability Insurance. Media liability claims, investor lawsuits and regulatory action due to cyber issues, and computer failures are typically covered under cyber insurance. In the event of a computer crime, cyber insurance is preferred, but crime policies can also be used. Cyber-borne bodily injury or property damage may be covered by liability policies or pushed to cyber insurers.
