CMS gives California hospital chance to keep Medicare contract

The CMS has reversed its decision to terminate Stanislaus Surgical Hospital’s Medicare contract, following the hospital’s commitment to correct deficiencies and meet the definition of a Medicare-certified hospital. The hospital has until 15 May to submit a correction plan and will undergo an onsite survey by 31 July to assess compliance.
