Cloud Atlas’ Spear-Phishing Attacks Target Russian Agro and Research Companies

The cyber espionage group Cloud Atlas has been linked to spear-phishing attacks on Russian enterprises. Targets include a Russian agro-industrial firm and a state-owned research company, according to cybersecurity firm F.A.C.C.T. Cloud Atlas, active since 2014 and also known as Clean Ursa, Inception, Oxygen, and Red October, is recognized for its persistent campaigns targeting several countries including Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Slovenia.
