Close to one-third of healthcare employees have never received cybersecurity training, report shows

Employees of healthcare organizations in the U.S. and Canada lack cybersecurity education and awareness in the areas of regulation, policy, and training, according to a report from Kaspersky. The report suggests that the lack of awareness of federal regulations and cybersecurity policies, as well as insufficient training, contribute to the increasing number of cyberattacks in healthcare organizations across North America. It emphasizes the need for organizations to prioritize cybersecurity and implement a skilled IT team, clear policies, and ongoing training to protect patient information.
