Clinical Research Firm Exposes 1.6 Million US Medical Survey Records

A database owned by DM Clinical Research containing over 1.6 million medical records with highly sensitive personal information was found to be unsecured and publicly accessible online. Cybersecurity expert Jeremiah Fowler discovered and announced the breach. It remains unknown how long the data was exposed, how many people accessed it, or if DM Clinical Research or a third-party contractor managed the database.
