A recent survey conducted by Proofpoint shows that the global recession and post-pandemic conditions are putting pressure on chief information security officers (CISOs). CISOs are facing challenges such as shrinking budgets and excessive expectations while dealing with security threats such as email fraud, business email compromise, and insider threats. The survey also revealed that CISOs are seeing better engagement with boards on cybersecurity issues. However, 61% of CISOs feel that their organizations are unprepared to cope with a cyberattack.
